ADVERSITIES

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."  JOHN 16:33 NKJV

People with a naive view of God often think that He will insulate them  from the hardships of life. If that is true, then everyone in the world would turn to God for the sake of worldly protection. But He doesn't choose to be everyone's good luck charm. He wants their love without any form of bribery. So, as long as we live in this world, God doesn't exempt His people from the natural consequences of life. This means that we don't have a "Get Out of Jail Free" that allows us to skip the calamities and trials of life.
But God hasn't left us stranded and helpless either. He has given us the Holy Spirit to be His special presence in our life. Consequently, we have all of the spiritual and emotional strength we will need to handle the adversities that life brings our way.

"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but god is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." 1cor 10:13

God will either protect you from hardships or give you the strength to go through them. Either way, He is always at your side.
